The indie pop band, “Foster the People” is coming to Minnesota on June 11th and will be performing at the Fine Line Music Café. KT Tunstall at the Fine Line Music Cafe

On Monday, April 18th, the Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall will be performing at the Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She broke into the public eye with a 2004 live solo performance of her song "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" on Later... with Jools Holland. She has enjoyed commercial and critical success since, picking up three nominations before winning a BRIT Award, and a Grammy Award nomination. She is also the recipient of an Ivor Novello Award. She has released three studio albums internationally: Eye to the Telescope (2004), Drastic Fantastic (2007) and Tiger Suit (2010). Her style can be considered alternative rock, folk, blues, country blues.

New shows at the Fine Line!

It's been even longer since I have blogged about shows here - but there is finally something to buy Fine Line Music Tickets for! Actually, quite a few good shows.

First up is the Raveonettes on April 7th. THey are touring in support of their new album, Raven in the Grave due out on April 18th. The Raveonettes are also celebrating their tenth year together. A decade? Not too shabby.

Golden Smog is reuniting for not one, but two shows at the Fine Line on Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th. Local music fans should really watch out for this one - an all star (mostly original lineup) will be on for both nights. I wouldn't be suprised if there were a few cameos (omg, maybe Jeff Tweedy?) along the way. Fine Line tickets for these shows will sell out so buy early if you want to go. Not to mention they are both weekend nights! And the Twins are out of town....



And last, but not least everyone's favorite Norwegian boy, Sondre Lerche will be in town for a show on Friday, June 16th. Sondre's booking agent must really love the Fine Line because that is the ONLY place he ever plays. Can someone introduce this guy to the Varsity? Sondre will be touring in support of his forthcoming self-titled album which is due out in June. Sondre has recently relocated his life to Brooklyn, I can imagine the new album will reflect that.
