If you have ever listened to Cities 97 you have no doubt heard that horrifyingly annoying song called "Jupiter" by late 90's / early 2000's adult contemporary band, Travis. Well, it seems that the band as a whole has taken a break and two of the members are touring together: Fran Healy and Andy Dunlop.
They are calling the tour "A Chronological Acoustical Journey Through the Travis Back Catalogue: Laugh Out Loud Stories, Scottish Accents, Handsome Scottish Men, Naked Torsos." Since they are the only guys on the road, the songs will all be acoustic. They are also using this tour as a means to test new Travis material to smaller audiences.
I read a review of the Austin show and it said that there was a slide show part of the concert where Fran and Andy took turns telling stories. I suppose if you were a big Travis fan this would be a dream come true!
Fine Line tickets are on sale now for this event. I am not sure how crazy of a ticket this is going to be - I do know that Travis has a huge following - they have had quite a few hit singles. If you want to go buy your Fine Line tickets now.
Fran Healy and Andy Dunlop: the men responsible for "Jupiter"

One, I agree I can not stand "jupiter" way too overplayed. And Two, really could not shorten the tour title, how is that going to fit on a concert tee?
