Pat Green tickets

Pat Green at the Fine Line has been announced for a show on Thursday, April 22nd. Fine Line tickets go on sale tomorrow.

Born in San Antonio and raised in Waco, Texas, Pat Green started his love for playing music in the mid nineties. In 1997 he was fired from his job (by his stepfather, it wasn't as dramatic as it sounds) he dedicated all of his time to recording music. Before he had even signed a record contract he had sold 250,000 albums, was sponsored by Miller Lite and toured with Willie Nelson, among others.

Pat Green experienced commercial success in the early 2000's with the release of his major label debuts. He had a few top 40 hits. Pat Green is one of the hardest working guys in country music it looks like. Over the years pat Green has developed a devoted community of fans that follow his live shows. While he has not broken through to playing at places like the Xcel Energy Center or Target Center, the Fine Line is a perfect intimate setting to see him in. Fine Line tickets should sell fast for this show, based on what I have read about Pat Green he has quite the following!

The Church tickets

80's new wavers, The Church, are back together and on a spring 2010 tour. One of their stops is at the ol' Fine Line Music Cafe. Fine Line tickets are on sale starting Tuesday for the Church show which takes place on Tuesday, April 13th. No opening act has been announced, however, this is a 21+ show. I think the city of Minneapolis has to rename April as RockApril this year. There are so many shows!

The Church, as you may remember, the Church had a top 40 hit in 1988 with "Under the Milky Way." Forming in Australia in 1980, The Church has just entered their 30th year as a band. The Church's current line up has been the same since 2000 and they are touring in support of their new album, Untitled #23. This is also the Church's 30th Anniversary acoustic tour which will begin in April and go through May for their North American tour dates.

Also, those who buy Fine Line tickets for this Church show will receive a limited edition cd available only to those who attend the 30th Anniversary tour. the track list is kept secret, but it sounds like a must have for those die hard Church fans.

Fine Line tickets
go on sale Tuesday, February 23rd. The opening act has not been announced yet.

Dan Navarro tickets

Well kids, don't get confused. When I first read that myself I thought it read DAVE Navarro and I got really excited. Even though I am not a fan of Dan's solo stuff, he is still so hot that my high school crush comes rushing back. Dave Navarro = hot.

Anywho, Dave Navarro is quietly living in California and being a free mason. But what is really going on at the Fine Line is DAN Navarro. Seeing as Dan Navarro is a folk singer he is from a completely different walk of life than Dan.

Regardless, Dan Davarro has 30 years of musicianship under his belt. He is one half of the folk duo, Lowen and Navarro, however that is only a small part of what Dan Navarro has accomplished. Dan Navarro has been a session singer (both in English and Spanish) for films like Happy Feet and Ice Age 2. His singing voice has also been in Family Guy, American Dad, Deal or No Deal, Rosewell, and Felicity just to name a few. Dan has also recorded with Susanna Hoffs, Julio Iglesias, members of Yes, and Neil Young. His work has also been featured on national advertising campaigns for Toytota, McDonalds, Folgers, Coors, Dodge and Coca Cola among others.

Fine Line tickets are on sale now to see Dan Navarro, a very diverse and eclectic musician. With all of this work during his carrer Dan Navarro has gained a large live show following. If you want to catch this essential artist be sure to buy your Fine Line tickets as soon as possible.

Rogue Wave tickets

The accidental band of sorts from Oakland, California, Rogue Wave, has announced a show on Thursday, April 15th.

Rogue Wave
have an entertaining story of sorts as to how they actually became a band. The founder, Zach Scwartz, lost his job in the dot com downfall in 2002. Schwartz decided to take a break from the sunny California life and take a sabbatical to New York. When he left awhile later, he had recorded several tracks with a friend. Most of those songs made up Rogue Wave's debut, "Out of the Shadow." Formerly on the famed SubPop record label, they are to Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records label. I would say Zach Shwartz is doing ok for himself. Something great has come from his job loss. I bet he looks forward to his job as a frontman of a band a bit more than he did as a dot com-er.

You may recognize Rogue Wave's name not only from the radio (the Current plays them frequently, so does Sirius) but they were also in the movie 'Love Happens' with Jennifer Aniston.

Fine Line tickets
are on sale now for the Rogue Wave show this April. You will need to be 18+ to get into this Fine Line show. No opening act has been announced.

Howie Day tickets

As you many Minneapolis music fans may know, Howie Day was supposed to play at the Fine Line last Friday night, however, Howie called in sick and had to postpone the show. A new date for Howie Day has been announced for Wednesday, March 10th. Original Fine Line tickets will be honored for the new date. There are also Fine Line tickets available now for the new March 10th date.

Opening acts are still listed as Serena Ryder and Matt Lowell. Both opening acts played a free show last Friday. The show must go on in some form I guess! Serena Ryder is a pretty popular singer/songwriter in her homeland Canada. She has won a Juno award, which is the equivalent to a Grammy here in the states. Serena Ryder played at Minneapolis's Basilica Block Party last summer and was praised for her awesome performance.

It looks like Howie Day canceled his shows in Milwaukee, Ames, and Omaha last week as well due to this mysterious 'illness.' But hey, musicians have to have sick days too I guess. It was a bad week for bands showing up at the Fine Line, Everclear had to change their date as well.

Fine Line tickets
for Howie Day on March 10th are still available. Howie Day tickets for the last show did sell out so buy your Fine Line tickets before they sell out (again!)
